This Advanced Manufacturing Learning Journey at Singapore Polytechnic was co-developed by the organisers with TÜV SÜD, with 3 distinct zones representing different stages of i4.0 transformation.

The Digitalisation Zone will depict an enterprise which is keen to digitise their manual processes, and extract valuable information by connecting machines and equipment that are conventionally unconnected at the shop floor.

The Integrated Zone depicts an enterprise where the digitalised processes and systems are integrated across the value chain, 5-layer automation pyramid and product life-cyucle through the use of technologies. Three robotic cells are powered by automated mobile robot (AMR) to make the line "integrated".



The Smart Zone depicts an enterprise where the digitalised processes and systems are securely integrated across all vertical hierarchical levels through the use of technologies. Flexibility, real-time communications, machine learning/AI, and decision support systems are utilised to make the processes "smart".
