The International Air Transport Association (IATA) represents some 290 airlines comprising 82% of global air traffic. One of its key priorities has been to work with governments to complete roadmaps to reopen borders to travel.

Ian Lorigan, who is Asia-Pacific Regional Director for Distribution and Payment, will be providing an update on the impact of COVID-19 on the aviation industry from both the global and Asia Pacific perspective. He will also share the role IATA has been playing in support of industry players, governments and travellers during this pandemic period and in preparation for the restart. IATA's Travel Pass App, for example, is enabling passengers to create a secure and verified digital identity linked to their passport, verify their test/vaccination requirements and status, and share this information with the relevant authorities.
