AAIS has partnered with JTC to publish an inaugural report on solar adoption by the aerospace industry. The report aims to provide a glimpse of the industry's sustainability efforts, with a specific focus on the gains from implementing solar energy. It will also provide an important baseline, with which we can monitor the progress of the industry's solar adoption in the coming years.

    President, South East Asia, Pacific & South Korea at Rolls-Royce Singapore

    Dr Bicky Bhangu is President – South East Asia, Pacific and South Korea at Rolls-Royce, based in Singapore. He is responsible for the operations across the company’s key businesses– Civil Aerospace, Defence and Power Systems.

    Bicky currently serves as Council Member for the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF), and is Deputy President of Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC). He has served as Deputy President of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF). He was also President of the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore over several terms.

    Bicky is an Adjunct Professor at the Nanyang Technological Universit.y Bicky has a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Nottingham, an MSc in Control Systems, PhD in Advanced Machines and Drives from the University of Sheffield and an MBA in Technology Management. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering Technology (IET), and Fellow of Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).

    Founder & Principal Consultant of SustainableSG

    Chan Mun Wei is a consultant, trainer and writer in the areas of sustainability, strategy and risk. His work includes advising clients on sustainability strategy and implementation, benchmarking ESG practices, writing sustainability reports, developing carbon management policies and reports, and formulating circular economy business models.

    He is a corporate trainer and Adjunct Lecturer at the Singapore University of Social Sciences and Newcastle University’s campus in Singapore. He has taught courses in carbon management (covering the ISO 14064-1 and GHG Protocol Standards), sustainability leadership, sustainable materials, sustainable development, and opportunities in the sustainability sector.

    He was previously the Divisional Director of Corporate Planning at Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) from April 2009 to August 2018. One of his core responsibilities was developing and implementing the Sentosa Sustainability Plan along environmental, social and governance dimensions.

    Tee Yan is a Senior Engineer from the Sustainability Department at JTC. A government agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, JTC is pacing the way forward for Singapore's industrial landscape by championing clean, green and smart estates such as one-north, Seletar Aerospace Park, Jurong Innovation District and Punggol Digital District.

    Tee Yan supports a wide range of sustainability efforts including innovation and solar deployment projects. He also supports JTC representatives on sustainability conversations in the industry and works closely with other partner agencies to develop and promote sustainability initiatives.
