Upcoming Challenges on Counterdrone and Maritime Security
Singapore and the U.S. have teamed up to launch two exciting challenges for the development of counterdrone capabilities and maritime security technologies. Singapore solution providers can apply to participate, once the challenges are posted, at the link provided (button below).
This collaboration was made possible by an MOU signed between Singapore's Chief Defence Scientist Tan Peng Yam and U.S. Defense Innovation Unit director Doug Beck on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue in June. |

AAIS Bowling Tournament 2024
The AAIS Annual Bowling Tournament returned with a bang on 11 May 2024, held at Orchid Bowl within the Orchid Country Club. The event brought together 32 teams from across the aerospace industries, all vying for friendly bragging rights and a chance at the championship title. |

Hearty congratulations to the champions from Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL), who retained their title for the second year running! SIA Engineering Company secured the first runner-up position, while keglers from Bestlabs Singapore Pte. Ltd. bagged the second runner-up spot. Individual achievements were also recognised, with Tan Chee Guan from SIAEC and Nurul Aisyah Atriyanie from GE Aerospace achieving the highest scores in their respective categories. |

| AAIS is pleased to be a supporting partner of the FlightForge Competition organised by the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC) research hubs at the National University of Singapore and Temasek Polytechnic. This competition invites participants to design a drone airframe that leverages 3D printing capabilities, embraces sustainability principles, and improves airframe design in terms of protection and tracking drone orientation. FlightForge is open to Singapore residents under three categories: Open, Tertiary Student and Secondary Student. Participants may take part as individuals or teams of up to 5 and winners will be awarded cash prizes of up to S$4,000!
