Leadership Changes

In recent months, two esteemed members of our Management Committee have stepped down due to professional movements: Mr Richard Wong (former 1st Vice President) and Mr Alexander Feldman (former 2nd Vice President). We are ever grateful for their exceptional and dedicated service to AAIS and wish them success in their present and future endeavours.

To ensure continuity in our leadership, the Management Committee, in accordance with the AAIS Constitution, has made the following interim appointments:
  • Ms Lim Hee Joo has been appointed as the Acting 1st Vice President; and
  • Mr Desmond Lim has been appointed as the Acting 2nd Vice President.

I thank Hee Joo and Desmond for stepping into these roles and am confident that their dedication and insights will continue to benefit our team.

Additionally, we are thrilled to welcome two new members to our Management Committee.

Singapore Space Community by AAIS

Over the years, AAIS has been growing and expanding our membership across aviation and aerospace to include domains such as air navigation services, airport ground support equipment and unmanned aircraft systems.

Given the growing Space sector in Singapore, and the fact that a proportion of AAIS Members also have Space-related businesses, the AAIS Management Committee has decided to add the Space domain to our services. Many national aerospace associations worldwide have adopted a similar approach.

It is, thereby, my pleasure to announce the formation of the Singapore Space Community by AAIS. This new initiative will serve as the focal point for our Space-related activities. Participation is open to all AAIS members at no additional cost, offering an enhanced service that aligns with our commitment to support the evolving needs of our industry. We welcome you to join the community and contribute your ideas on how we can further support the Space sector.

Upcoming Activities

For a full review of our activities, join us at the AAIS Annual General Meeting which has been scheduled on Friday, 25 October 2024 from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. Invitations and details will be sent out to the main representatives of AAIS members in due course. We look forward to your participation so please do mark your calendars.

To reap full value from your membership, I encourage you to participate actively in our events and initiatives. If you have any questions, feedback or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Secretariat.

On behalf of the Management Committee, I thank you for your continued support and look forward to a productive and successful year for our association and the industry.

Thank you.
Warmest Regards
