Dialogue on Selangor's Aerospace, UAS and AAM Ecosystem
AAIS facilitated a dialogue with its members on 1 August 2024 featuring the Honorable Dr Mohamad Fahmi Ngah, Selangor State EXCO. The event provided a platform for AAIS members and the SG UAS Community to find out about the developments in Selangor’s aerospace, UAS, and AAM ecosystem. Among other topics, attendees heard from Selangor officials on the Selangor Drone Centre of Excellence, which is being developed to offer facilities for rigorous drone testing and collaboration among industry players. Dr Leo Jeoh, CEO of STATE Aviation provided a briefing on the UAS sector development in Singapore and moderated an interactive dialogue session. |

Hot off the press! Singapore UAS Directory 2024/25
We are delighted to launch the fourth edition of the Singapore UAS Directory, with the support of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, Enterprise Singapore and the Maritime Port Authority. Since the last edition, the breadth and sophistication of the industry has evolved. To better reflect this, we have doubled the number of classifications and grown from 56 pages to 88 pages. We trust that this new edition will provide better utility to end users.

ICAO Advanced Air Mobility Symposium 2024
The International Civil Aviation Organization's (ICAO) first Advanced Air Mobility Symposium (AAM 2024) is expected to take place from 9 to 12 September 2024, in Montréal, Canada. The theme is "Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) global harmonization and interoperability: Challenges and opportunities". AAM 2024 will provide networking and bilateral opportunities, showcase the breadth of existing technologies, ongoing research and development, as well as commercial and non-commercial activities in this rapidly evolving sector of the aviation industry.

| We are pleased to invite your organisation to join the inaugural Aerospace Sustainability Community of Practice (COP) jointly organised by JTC and AAIS. We are convening this as a periodic industry platform to discuss sustainability initiatives and practices. We hope that this will be an opportunity for collective knowledge sharing and that it will also spark ideas for collaboration and community action.
For this COP session, AAIS will share about an industry park-level sustainability framework that could be piloted at Seletar Aerospace Park (SAP). We will also have a thematic sharing on Water resources, by the Public Utilities Board (PUB). We believe that your participation and insights will greatly contribute to our collective learning and action on Sustainability. | AAIS is pleased to be a supporting partner of the FlightForge Competition organised by the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC) research hubs at the National University of Singapore and Temasek Polytechnic. This competition invites participants to design a drone cover/ enclosure that leverages 3D printing capabilities, embraces sustainability principles, and improves airframe design in terms of protection and tracking drone orientation. FlightForge is open to Singapore residents under three categories: Open, Tertiary Student and Secondary Student. Participants may take part as individuals or teams of up to 5 and winners will be awarded cash prizes of up to S$4,000!
