AAIS Kicks Off 20th Anniversary Celebrations with Launch of New Logo |
|
The official launch of the new AAIS logo took place at the prestigious Aerospace Leaders’ Dialogue Singapore (ALDS) 2023, held on 21 July 2023. Minister of State for Trade and Industry, and Culture, Community and Youth, Ms Low Yen Ling, graced the momentous occasion as the Guest-of-Honour and unveiled the logo alongside President of AAIS, Mr Wong Yue Jeen. The new AAIS icon showcases a modern and graceful line illustration of a bird with wings spread wide and soaring towards new horizons, symbolising the industry's boundless potential. Clean lines reflect the industry’s pursuit of precision and excellence, and a dynamic form reflects agility and resilience in an ever-changing landscape. The choice of sky blue in the logo design pays homage to the Association's legacy, adding a sense of continuity to the refreshed identity.
With the launch of the new logo, the Singapore UAS Community will also adopt the logo but with the word mark, "SUAS". |

ICAO AAM Study Group - New Working Groups 1-5 May 2023
This is an update on AAIS representation in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Advanced Air Mobility Study Group (AAM-SG) and its 3 working groups. As reported previously, Koh Jia Le of Skyports has been appointed as an Advisor to the AAM-SG.
Representatives to the newly formed working groups are:
1. Vision Working Group - Developing a holistic vision of AAM and its incremental steps (Kristen Mineck of Immarsat)
2. UAS & UTM Working Group - Developing implementation guidance for UTM basic functions (Fabrice Ancey of Heron Airbridge)
3. Exploratory Working Group - Exploring new AAM related paradigms, such as automation & autonomy (Koh Jia Le of Skyports & Leo Jeoh of State Aviation) Our representation at ICAO is through the ICCAIA, with Brenden Hedblom of EVE Air Mobility as leader of ICCAIA's AAM Advisory Group also acting as Vice Chair of the ICAO AAM SG. |

AAIS Annual Bowling Tournament
The aerospace community had an exciting and fun-filled day as they gathered once again for the highly-anticipated AAIS Annual Bowling Tournament held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Orchid Bowl @ Orchid Country Club. The event was filled with excitement, fun, and a vibrant atmosphere as 34 teams from the industry engaged in friendly competition. Bowlers vied for the prestigious championship trophy while winning prizes in novelty games, adding to the overall thrill of the day. |
