OJT Funding under the Career Conversion Programme for Aerospace Personnel
The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) for Aerospace aims to facilitate mid-career individuals and existing employees in transitioning to new or enhanced roles in the Aerospace sector. The programme provides funding for reskilling, equipping individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge for their new positions.
Modes of CCP:
- Place and Train - For intra-sectoral/Intersectoral new hires who have joined the company for less than 3 months (Funding support up to 9 months)
- Job Redesign (JR) Reskilling - For an existing employee whose job is being redesigned or at long-term risk of displacement (Funding support up to 3 months)
During the programme, individuals will undergo a structured CCP training programme, based on 100% structured on-the-job training (OJT). Salary support for the duration of the programme will be reimbursed to the employers at:
- 70% of monthly salary capped at $4,000/month for employees who are Singaporean Citizens & Permanent Residents aged 40 and below
- 90% of monthly salary capped at $6,000/month for employees who are Singaporean Citizens & Permanent Residents aged 40 and above

The International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industries Associations (ICCAIA) is seeking to fill the following positions on ICCAIA Committees and selected panels and expert groups under the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
Recognised by ICAO, ICCAIA provides an avenue for aerospace manufacturers and service providers to offer their industry expertise toward the development of international standards and regulations necessary for the safety, security, efficiency and sustainability of air transport. AAIS Annual Bowling Tournament 2023
The aerospace community had an exciting and fun-filled day as they gathered once again for the highly-anticipated AAIS Annual Bowling Tournament held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Orchid Bowl @ Orchid Country Club. The event was filled with excitement, fun, and a vibrant atmosphere as 34 teams from the industry engaged in friendly competition. Bowlers vied for the prestigious championship trophy while winning prizes in novelty games, adding to the overall thrill of the day.
Our warmest congratulations to the champion and second runner-up teams from Singapore Aero Engine Services (Asia) Pte Ltd as well as the team from SIA Engineering Company who came in as the first runner-up. We thank the aerospace community for their enthusiastic participation in this fantastic corporate team-building event!
Seminar: How Budget 2023 Impacts Business
AAIS members spent an interesting morning with Ms Tan Bin Eng (Asean Business Incentives Advisory Leader) and Mr Johanes Candra (Partner, Business Incentives Advisory) of EY LLP. The session organised on 10 May 2023 gathered business leaders and tax/finance professionals to learn about the latest from Singapore’s Budget.
Part 1 of the session shed light on the Enterprise Innovation Scheme, an initiative aimed at fostering R&D, innovation, and capability development among businesses. Attendees gained valuable insights into the scheme's qualifying criteria and explored how it can incentivise their organisations to actively engage in innovative practices. In Part 2, the discussion centred around BEPS (Base Erosion and Profit Shifting) Pillar 2 and its Global Anti-Base Erosion (GloBE) rules, along with the introduction of the Domestic Top-Up Tax of 15%. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where attendees and speakers engaged in thought-provoking discussions.
Unmanned Systems Asia 2023
The Association of Aerospace Industries (Singapore) (AAIS) organised the Singapore Pavilion at Rotorcraft and Unmanned Systems Asia (RCA-UMSA) 2023, held from 3rd to 5th May at the Changi Exhibition Centre. RCA-UMSA 2023, co-located with IMDEX Asia and organised by Experia Events, provided a dynamic platform for thought-provoking discussions, start-up pitching sessions, and an impressive unmanned technology showcase.
The Singapore Pavilion featured six innovative Singaporean companies with a diverse range of technologies and groundbreaking solutions. These included unmanned traffic management (UTM) and UAS mission systems, additive manufacturing, precision engineering, composites for aerospace and unmanned systems, autonomous driving technologies, and deep-tech Robot as a Service (RaaS) solutions, among others.

EASA Part 145 One Day Refresher Course

This course provides an overview of the latest EU Rule EU 2021/1963 and changes to EASA Part 145. It also includes changes to CAA Malaysia Part 145. The new EASA rule applies Safe Management System (SMS) i.a.w Annex 19, occurrence reporting and addition of additional paragraphs in Part 145.
Shot Peening Applications for Aerospace Qualification
