Call for Problem Statements: Aerospace Open Innovation Challenge 2024
JTC, in partnership with AAIS, is set to launch its inaugural Aerospace Open Innovation Challenge (AOIC) in the first quarter of 2024.
In collaboration with Enterprise Singapore (ESG), this challenge presents a unique opportunity for aerospace companies to tackle issues along three broad dimensions: 1) Sustainability, 2) Productivity, and 3) Digitalisation.
Industry members are encouraged to leverage this platform and ESG’s network of solution providers to address your problem statements. To participate, please complete and submit the completed challenge statement template by 15 January 2024, with your company's management endorsement. Following the submission, a session will be arranged to refine the scope of your challenge statement(s) in preparation for the anticipated launch.

We introduced Aerospace Singapore (AS) Digital - our first online magazine - as part of outreach efforts not only to industry professionals but also to students, airforce personnel, and aviation enthusiasts globally.
AS Digital provides an accessible platform with insights, features, and data covering the Singapore and broader industry landscape. A highlight is AeroYouth which features articles written by youth and for youth, amplifying the voices of tomorrow. |

On 9 November, we gathered for the grand culmination of our celebrations at the 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner, attended by esteemed VIPs and industry leaders. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for contributing to the success of this memorable evening.

We proudly launched PROPEL, a commemorative heritage book documenting the development of Singapore's aviation and aerospace industries, featuring stories from leading aerospace companies. Our sincere gratitude to the writers and sponsors who made this project possible. |

AAIS launched the Promising Entrepreneurs Programme (PEP), a year-long programme that aims to provide next-generation SME leaders with knowledge, skills and exposure to navigate the aerospace landscape. We thank members for the support and contributions to this impactful programme. |

Singapore Airshow will be back from 20 to 25 February 2024 at the Changi Exhibition Centre. The event will feature a series of strategic forums, exhibitions and events. Drones and Uncrewed Asia 2024 | | | Sands Expo and Conv... Singapore |

| The inaugural Drones & Uncrewed Asia (DUCA) 2024, to be co-located with Geo Connect Asia 2024, is set to take place from 6 to 7 March 2024 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore. Building on the success of the Drones Asia event launch in March 2023, DUCA 2024 is primed to be the essential meeting place for the region's expanding unmanned aircraft systems and uncrewed technology ecosystem. The event comprises a trade show, start-up zone, main stage conference and programme of technical presentations. Presentations and panel discussions will delve into the transformative trends in air mobility markets across the ASEAN region, and the crucial need for collaboration between regulators, end users, and technology platforms. Entrance is free for Trade Visitors who register by 12 February 2024. AAIS members also will enjoy a 15% discount off the regular conference ticket rat. More details to be released soon.

EASA Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Approvals Date: 7 & 8 March 2024 Type: Classroom Training This course provides participants with an understanding of the requirements for compliance to EASA Part 145 and CAA Malaysian Part 145 organisation approval. It includes coverage of Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) and the Guidance Material (GM). |

Application of New GST Rate from 1 January 2024
The Government of Singapore will increase the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate from 8% to 9% on 1 January 2024. All invoices issued from 1 January 2024 will be subjected to the new prevailing rate of 9%.
