Event Details

Advanced manufacturing has become more relevant in many industries in the context of building resilience. It can help companies better weather future upheavals and adapt more quickly to changes in demand, the supply chain, and other parts of the value chain.

To better understand the considerations and opportunities that the Aerospace industry can leverage on, AAIS members are invited to an exclusive Integrated Learning Journey for Advanced Manufacturinghosted by ASTech, Smart i4.0 Transformation Alliance (SiTA) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP). Co-developed by SP and TÜV SÜD, participants of the advanced manufacturing learning journey will experience 3 distinct zones (i.e., Digitalisation, Integrated, and Smart zones) to understand the solutions and support available for enterprises at different stages of i4.0 transformation.

Participants can also find out about grants and incentives available for process re-design, innovation and automation projects, as well as funding for training, re-skilling and upskilling of staff related to Advanced Manufacturing and transformation.

The Digitalisation Zone will depict an enterprise which is keen to digitise their manual processes, and extract valuable information by connecting machines and equipment that are conventionally unconnected at the shop floor.

The Integrated Zone depicts an enterprise where the digitalised processes and systems are integrated across the value chain, 5-layer automation pyramid and product life cycle through the use of technologies. Three robotic cells are powered by automated mobile robot (AMR) to make the line "integrated".

The Smart Zone depicts an enterprise where the digitalised processes and systems are securely integrated across all vertical hierarchical levels through the use of technologies. Flexibility, real-time communications, machine learning/AI, and decision support systems are utilised to make the processes "smart".
